For more than 140 years, Centura St. Mary Corwin Medical Center has been a pioneer in Southern Colorado. In 1882, a two-story boarding house in Pueblo was converted into St. Mary’s Hospital by the Sisters of Charity while at the same time, Colorado Fuel & Iron Company established a hospital for its employees and their families under the medical leadership of Dr. Richard Corwin.  The company transferred ownership of Corwin Hospital to teh sisters in the late 1940s creating St. Mary-Corwin Hospital.  Today, the hospital continues its legacy of compassionate, outstanding care an accredited and nationally recognized cancer center, designated Breast Center of Excellence, state of the art robotic-assisted surgical technology, a dedicated Joint Replacement Center and more.

Part of the St. Mary Corwin medical community operated under Centura Health, Touchstone Health Pueblo West is open Monday – Saturday 7am – 7pm. The full-service walk­ in clinic is part between clinic and of a network of 17 hospitals, physician practices, clinics, homecare and hospice services that make up the Centura Health Network.

The stand-alone emergency room offers board-certif ied emergency physicians and nurses for immediate care. Laboratory services; radiology, CAT scan, and respiratory therapy are all available in Pueblo West. Genera.Uy, 90% of visitors can be effectively treated at the convenient Pueblo West facility, however visitors in need of higher level care will be transported to Parkview Medical Center or other appropriate healthcare facilities.
