The community in conjunction with the Pueblo County Health Department conduct regular health improvement plans to stay focused on the necessary goal setting that keeps neighbors moving forward.

Seasonal Farmer’s Markets reflect the community’s emphasis on well-being and the county’s newest movements in positive youth development are creating future thinkers of the areas youth. All are instrumental to the mind and body wellness.

Fitness

Pueblo West has 2 full service fitness gyms. These locations are complete with all you would expect to find such as free weights, weight machines, treadmills, bikes, stair climbers, etc. They also offer fitness classes and personal trainers. You will also find a number of cross fit focused facilities. There is an outdoor fitness circuit next to Cattails Crossing and plenty of trails. There are also a wide variety of classes from youth to seniors available through Pueblo West Parks & Recreation. There are opportunities to participate in Yoga in the Park, Yoga at the Reservoir and Tai Chi at the Library. These groups and classes are ever evolving and growing so check our calendar to find out what’s available to you!

As the focus on health & wellness continues to grow, there are a number of businesses that work with you to optimize your health. From a number of chiropractic offices, spas and massage therapists to organic foods, nutrition advisors and essential oils, we have all the tools needed to get healthy and stay that way! Check out our member directory to find just what you need. We also have the Parkview Mobile Nurses in the community who have regularly scheduled wellness check sites each month! Check your blood pressure, talk to them about nutrition, exercise, how to keep cholesterol & blood sugar levels in check and so much more. They are a great resource for information on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
